Health Coverage

Perhaps the most common misconception about HAAM is that we are an insurance provider. We are not, but we do help members determine what type of health coverage they are eligible for and assist them with applying. Most HAAM members sign up for government subsidized ACA Marketplace insurance plans with HAAM’s assistance. This is generally done during Open Enrollment, Nov 1- Dec 15, though there are exceptions. 

For those who are not eligible for or not interested in enrolling in an ACA Marketplace plan, there are other health coverage options available through community programs and sliding scale clinics.
