HAAM Day 2022 returns, live and in-person, on Tuesday, September 13
HAAM is proud to announce this year’s HAAM Day’s date as Sept. 13, 2022 and the day’s presenting sponsor, PNC Bank. The event will feature in person live music for the first time since 2019. HAAM Day returns to how it has been historically hosted – a day of live music where Central Texans have access to hundreds of performances from local musicians at venues throughout the greater Austin area, including San Marcos, Pflugerville and Bastrop. Every year, HAAM Day is a celebration of Austin music and community, and this year is no different.
Guest Post: Artist & House of Songs Founder Troy Campbell Reflects on Becoming HAAM Member #001
Musician & House of Songs founder Troy Campbell recalls the story of HAAM founder (and his former band manager) Robin Shivers getting the idea for HAAM when she realized he couldn't afford to see a doctor, among many other plans she dreamed up to assist not just his career, but the entire Austin music community as a whole.
A Message From CEO Paul Scott
We are thrilled to formally announce HAAM Day 2022’s date on September 13, and this year’s presenting sponsor, PNC Bank. When COVID-19 hit, we were unsure as to when we would be able to return to our original format - one that is so loved and cherished, and deeply missed!
HAAM Member Story: DJ & Producer Emmanuel Lopez
"I couldn’t be more grateful for HAAM. I haven’t been to a doctor in over 20 years. I have always been afraid to see one because I’ve been afraid to see what they will discover. My family has a history of cancer and diseases related to high blood pressure … My doctor told me if I had waited things could have been critical. I made some serious life choices and I feel better than ever! Thanks to HAAM and the staff at Austin Regional Clinic! I’ve spent sleepless nights worrying if my partner will outlive me. Now I embrace everyday as a blessing. I feel a newly rejuvenated feeling to make music, share music, and live life to the fullest. I feel I have a purpose and a community to support my health."
